Position:  Resin Administrator

Description:  Large California corporation has one contract opening for a Resin Administrator to perform installation, maintenance, and support of Resin services on web portal servers.

Job Summary:

This candidate will be working primarily on Windows systems, including W2K, W2K3, and W2K8. They will be responsible for installing new Resin instances, including Resin clusters, maintaining existing Resin instances, and documenting and standardizing VSP’s Resin environments. This person will also perform routine system changes, application software implementations, and upgrades. Must be comfortable working independently to complete assignments with instruction limited to results expected

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 years experience supporting Resin running on Windows in a production environment.
  • 3 years experience architecting  and configuring Resin clusters
  • 3 years experience installing, configuring, and supporting Windows servers
  • Experience working with redundant server pools and VMWare
  • Solid documentation and communication skills
  • Familiarity with Change Management processes and good communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience standardizing Resin configurations across many systems
  • Experience automating server builds and Resin configurations
  • Experience with J2EE
  • Experience with PPM and Cygwin
  • Familiarity with Websphere and service oriented architecture (SOA)

Position:  Privacy Officer - IT Security Consultant

Description:  Mid-sized California IT department has one contract opening for a Privacy Officer.

Requires the following qualifications:

  • Verifiable knowledge of privacy regulations  (e.g., HIPAA, IPA, CMIA, PAHRA, LPS, 42CFR, etc.)
  • Knowledge and experience in security regulations applicable to Information Technology (IT) and protection of confidential electronic health information (ePHI)
  • Knowledge and experience with regulatory compliance in a large health care provider and health plan organization
  • Experience creating and implementing enterprise privacy policies
  • Experience creating and implementing privacy procedures
  • Experience establishing Business Associate agreements and other formal agreements with business partners
  • Knowledge and experience training and activating privacy practices for a multi-site health care enterprise

Position:  WAN Engineer

Description:  Large California corporation has one contract opening for a WAN Engineer to do a six month refresh project.

Requires the following experience:

  • 5 years experience engineering, and deploying secure network infrastructure, and should have technical experience (hands-on implementation) in these areas  Experience with project management methodologies, documentation, etc.
  • Experience with Structured Cabling in UTP & Optic Fiber
  • 5 years experience with telecom hardware

Position:  Senior Engineer

Description:  Large California corporation has one contract opening for a Senior Microwave Engineer

Requires the following experience:

  • 5 years of engineering design experience
  • 3 years of project management experience
  • Design of Microwave PTP network systems, the backhaul traffic and microwave hubs to a wire line network based on fiber and IP technology.  LAN, WAN, WLAN configuration, CISCO routers, Switches, and Alcatel-Lucent 7450, 9500 Carrier Ethernet Switch router
  • Microwave frequency coordination, final BOM's and installation documentation necessary to deploy the microwave network.
  • Microwave limitations, structure type, capacity, distance, geographic/LOS limitations and use of topology design guidelines.

Position:  Senior Engineer

Description:  Large California corporation has one part-time long term contract opening for a contract opening for a Senior Engineer to assist other engineers and designers with the creation of multiple DCNs for the design and construction of substations.  Projects could include transmission line relay upgrades, 230 kV breaker replacements, 230kV capacitor banks, 69kV capacitor banks, transformer and bus relaying replacements, 12 and 21kV circuit breaker replacements, SCADA retrofits, etc.

Requires the following experience:

Ten years electrical power industry experience with demonstrated utility background and experience. Demonstrated specific skills should include structural design and layout of high voltage substations, plan and profile drawings, one line, three line, elementary, schematic, and wiring drawing creation and revision for high voltage substations.  Requires 7 years design experience for the design and construction of high voltage substations. Demonstrated experience in the specification of high voltage equipment, and construction specifications for high voltage substations.

Position:  Microstation Draft Engineer  (Part-time Telecommuting job)

Description:  Large California corporation has 2 – 4 contract openings for Draft Engineers.  There is a backlog of drafting/engineering work and they need to add 2 - 4 consultants to their group through the end of 2009 and potentially through 2010.  Expect to work from 10 - 30 hours per week, depending on your skills and availability.  A laptop will be provided and work can be completed at home.  Work is project based and you will be given multiple concurrent projects.  One day of on site training will be required to get you up to speed on corporate procedures and design standards.

A minimum of 3 years AutoCad and 2 years Microstation work experience is REQUIRED.  You must have a minimum of 1 year experience in engineering drafting on either underground work or utilities.  This is NOT a design engineer level position.  You will work with design engineers and project managers to meet the project requirements and deadlines.

Description: We regularly receive job orders for Client/Server Programmer Analysts.   We look for two different but related experience profiles.  Experience with Visual Basic and Access programming in an SQL environment, or web enabling types of experience with ASP, FrontPage 2000, HTML, JAVA, and Visual Basic in a SQL environment.   These contracts typically last one-plus years.
